Definition of Nobility

 Principle

Within the framework of the NobleIran Association, nobility is understood as a hereditary and historical condition rooted in lineage, responsibility, and recognized standing within Iranian society.

Nobility is not defined by title alone, but by the enduring continuity of family heritage, influence, and cultural significance across generations.

Foundations of Nobility

A noble lineage is recognized through the presence of one or more of the following:

• Lineage

Descent from a continuous and traceable family line extending across generations

• Landownership and Estates

Historical association with land, estates, agricultural holdings, or ancestral residences

• Titles and Distinction

Use of traditional titles such as Khan, Arbab, or Mirza, signifying authority and social standing

• Influence and Service

Roles in governance, administration, military leadership, or regional authority

• Dynastic Association

Documented or recognized connections to ruling houses, including the Qajar dynasty.

Continuity and Recognition

Nobility is sustained through continuity. A lineage is considered noble when its presence, influence, and identity persist across generations, supported by historical memory, documentation, or enduring social recognition.

Such recognition may be reflected through:

• Historical records and archives

• Family traditions and documented genealogies

• Surviving estates and architectural heritage

On Responsibility

Nobility carries with it a responsibility toward heritage.

A noble lineage is not solely defined by its past, but by its role in preserving and transmitting its legacy—through the protection of family history, estates, and cultural identity.

 Institutional Recognition

The NobleIran Association acknowledges noble lineages based on the convergence of historical evidence, continuity, and cultural significance.

Recognition is granted with consideration to:

• Genealogical documentation

• Historical context

• Preservation of heritage

 Conclusion

Nobility, as recognized by the NobleIran Association, is the expression of a living heritage—

a union of lineage, land, memory, and responsibility—

carried forward through generations and preserved for the future.
